times in software, but we're still hugely excited by the news that a
new Rhodes hardware model is in development.
The Mark 7 features the
same classic electromechanical design as the original keyboards and
will be available later this year.

New Rhodes review on JazzTimes Magazine, May 2007
Perhaps the biggest keys news was the debut of the new Rhodes pianos, classic-sounding electric keys with an aesthetic at once futuristic and retro. Demonstrated by a smooth-jazz trifecta of George Duke, David Benoit and Jeff Lorber on a surprisingly earthy rendition of "Watermelon Man", these reinvented instruments -when they do finally start shipping - will no doubt become fixtures on the bandstand.

Rhodes pianos review on Sound on Sound Magazine, May 2007
We'd heard rumors of a new range of Rhodes electric pianos before we even left for NAMM, but they were hard to believe: it's debatable whether a mechanical electric piano is commercially viable product in the market dominated by plug-ins and modeling and sample-based synthesizers. But despite the speculation, a series of widely revered instruments was indeed announced at the Anaheim show.

Rhodes MK 7 is nominated for Musikmesse International Press Award 2007
More than 100 magazines from all over the world get together to vote for the best instruments and products of 2006/2007 in more than 40 categories. The new Rhodes Piano was just nominated for this award.
The awards will be presented to the winners at a special mipa-Party/Awards-Ceremony held during Musikmesse/Prolight + Sound, March 29, 2007.

Rhodes first time in europe - at Musikmesse in Frankfurt Germany
For the first time, the new Rhodes Pianos will be introduced to the European market at the biggest show in the world, the Musikmesse Frankfurt-Germany!
